Hopping up 1st Gen.

It seems that most of the posts on this board come from new Cl or Cl type S owners.
I unfortunatly am stuck with my "old" `97 2.2CL 5-speed.
I was just wondering if anyone out there still has a first gen. model. I know they are slow as hell, but I really like my car and I would like to figure out how to make it faster.
Is it possible to add a DOHC head from a Prelude? They have the same engine don`t they? Or would it be better to just get a whole engine from a wrecked Prelude?
I assume I would need the computer also from the Prelude. Both cars seem to around the same weight-3000lbs. This should work in my mind. Has any one done this conversion or know of anyone who has done it?
Thanks to all who respond

I'm not too sure if anyone has gone to the hybrid road on the CL yet. I think there are alredy companies that make headers for your model..I believe brospeed comes to mind, but I heard that there headers aren't that great. Intake is always a cheaper mod to do first, you can change the Cam Gears with AEM parts. Those are just things that come to mind...It all depends on how much money you have...people have gone as far as getting custom turbos and such made for the CL 1st gen.
