hood release stretched to the max

I was wondering if anyone had a DIY on how to tighten or replace the hood release cable.... I'd really appreciate the help. Thanks in advance....

No DIY that I know of. If its stretched, you want to replace it soon though. If it snaps its a pain in the ass to pop the hood.

Yeah... I looked around but couldn't find a DIY either. It shouldn't be that hard... I'll take off the front bumper and see if I can figure it out myself unless someone can point me in the right direction thats done one before...

also gotta remove the driverside fender liner, in order to see it's routing

as far as adjusting it, iirc on the latch side, with where the cable housing attachs, there are 3 slots on the housing which adjusts the tension on the cable (it might also have it on the inside IDK, or the adjustment might even be on the inside, just gotta look for yourself)

but considering you are already having issues, i would still replace it, also don't forget to lube up the latch (and the hood pops with relatively ease, if it binds, it could potentially have stretch the cable), so it operates smoothly, and does not stretch the new cable
basically what i am saying, is find the culprit of why the original cable stretched
