Hood alligned, or is it??
ok, so it looks like my hood is alligned when i examine the gaps next to the fenders, but when i look at the front grill, the sheet-metal on side of the grill is out of allignment from the bumper by like an inch, and the other side is perfectly aligned...what's up with that?? i thought of any possible reason that caused this, i.e. dropping the hood closed, pushing the hood down after resting it into place, etc...i could push the front grill back so that the sheet metal and bumper allign properly, but when i let go, it falls back out of allignment...anybody have this problem?? could the bumper really b out of allignment??

Hood near windshield is higher than fender
creating a small gap. Talked with my friends
who own a body shop and they would raise the
fender to match the gap. Well, after thinking
about it, am just going to leave it alone.
Quality control poor on ever allowing this car off line. The other is right exhaust pipe
that hangs lower than left.

Open the hood, and raise it so that it is level, as in parallel to the ground. Grab hold of the metal on either side of the grill (NOT the grill itself!) as close to the sides as possible. While lifting on the low side, push down on the high side. You want to do this in a jerking motion, as opposed to a fluid motion. Don't apply anymore force than you would to close the hood.
Check allignment after every torque or two. If you over-compensate, simply reverse the procedure. This is how we allign them in the factory.
