Honda Finance
Hello,
Does anyone know which credit agency Honda Finance uses to make credit decisions? I've obtained my Experian credit report; was this a good move? I'm trying to figure out who is giving the best auto loans in NY- Is there anyone out there who knows? Thanks so much in advance

Honda finance is real conservative, they offered me 11%. I got the lowest rate using
www.lendingtree.com, 6.9%, but they base it on case by case basis. I was a first time auto buyer 1 year out of college. You could try www.peoplefirst.com as well.

TRMZRUS,
I believe AHF (American Honda Finance) uses all the credit reports. My Equifax and Experian (formerly TRW) shows a report being pulled when I bought my cars.
Its always a good idea to check your credit reports. Always know what your credit report looks like before you negotiate the interest rate. Its also good to see if everything is correct and there are no mistakes. You can request a report from each credit bureau once a year for free.
Each bank representative is different in determining your rate. For example, I got a better deal with Chase than AHF for the TL even though my CL was through AHF. From what I have heard from others, the avg rate seems to be about 5-7%.
My $.02. Hope that helps.
