How do you squeeze 465 horsepower and 486 foot-pounds of torque into a P. T. Cruiser?
. . . VERY CAREFULLY!

The key is engine orientation and where it sits relative to the front axle. They don't put transaxles under longitudinal engines.

Even less weight over the rear wheels means that traction will be nil. Great for epic smoke-outs, probabably not so good for actual launching. (Remember that the Vette actually has a transaxle unitized with the diff in the back to aid weight distribution.)
And with the tiny wheelbase, I'd be kinda concerned if the rear did hook-up substantially. Can you say "loop-the-loop?"

And then re-read what I said in reference to the pictures of the HemiCruiser.

Hmmm. Indeed and quite unusual. Come to think of it, The 1st-gen 5-cyl TL, Vigor (maybe), andthe current RL (maybe) uses this config.
But Audis, VWs, Chryslers, Subarus, etc. all place their engines as low as possible, which forces the transaxle to be placed behind the engine. But none of these come back under the engine, and I doubt they hooked up a Hemi through a Honda transaxle. :P

I dunno what you guys are smoking, but that fucking car, is not fwd....look at the motor....for goodness sake, it's a freak V8 Hemi motor...how would you propose to mount a transmission and drivetrain for the front wheels, with a motor obviously slung low and by no means small???
give it a rest, it's RWD!
