Question Hole in Rotora Rotors

I was looking at my rotors last night and I saw a hole about 2mm in diameter in my front driver's side rotor. They've been on my car for about 7k miles and I don't do that much hard braking. What could have caused this and should I be worried about it completely cracking?

The hole is on the surface of the rotor not the hub.

Here's 2 shots:

I'm getting pretty freaked that the rotor might just crack... Should I just put my warped stock rotors back on with new pads for now? Call Rotora and see if they'll warranty it? Help!!

WTF?! That SHOULD NOT definitely, 68% of the 100% of the time NOT NOT be there.

Heat it up... add some water.... BAM.... instantaneous crack....

sorry, been working 48 hours and trying to study at the same time.... my brain is wired...

Ahhh!!!!!!! How would something like that happen in the first place?! I figured that the only way would be if some tiny rock got in between the pad and the rotor and i braked suddenly and the rotor locked itself to puncture a hole or else it would be a groove that would run around the rotor... How would a rock get in there in the first place!!! Rotora wont warranty it and Street Beat Customs won't do anything about it either since it's past 500 miles and 30 days. I don't want to buy Rotora slotted again for the front with new pads since it might do the same thing but I can't afford a BBK... What should I do?!

Ouch. That sucks dude. I better not see that crap on my rotors. I bought mine from Street Beet as well. You should raise hell with them. If my memory serves me correctly, you waited about a month and then some for them to come in. I'm going to check my rotors as soon as I get a chance. Thats the last thing I know.

Yea, I waited a damn long time for them to come in and what the fuck is this?! Well for now, I'm figuring just leaving it alone... I'm pretty sure yours are fine, I've never heard of anyone with this problem.

Yea.. it looks fucking retarded. I'm considering leaving it alone since it's only about 2mm deep (yea I poked a needle in it) I'll just consider it a dimple, my brakes tried to upgrade themselves or some shit. I'll deal with it when they crack and hopefully my car is still cool afterwards and then I'll get a BBK. What happens when your rotors crack btw. Does a fat piece come off or does it just make a crack in it?

It would seem like it would have a chunk missing if it cracks. I've heard stories of the drums on semi's cracking and flying off...doesn't sound healthy at all.

If your rotor cracks the steering becomes unstable at speed. Vibrations, etc. You will also have the oh so obvious... shitty braking. I have personally seen a cracked rotor destroy one side of a car at the track a few year back at BW...

Sounds like scary shit.. I know I should seriously play it safe and buy new rotors and pads or rotors at the least but does anyone honestly believe that a 2mm x 2mm dimple will cause the rotor to crack in the near future?

It doesn't look like it's cracked anywhere. Should be fine.

That is very unusual. I have never seen anything like it. It really looks like someone took a drill bit and drilled your rotor b/c it appears to be a perfect circular hole. I wouldn't be worried about it b/c it almost looks like a dimpled rotor. Just keep your eye on it and see if the hole gets larger or see if you see any cracks. I highly doubt it will crack. If you do need new rotors or a BBK let me know b/c my ROTORA shipment is coming in anyday.

Thanks guys, that puts my mind at ease a lil bit, I'm just so frustrated that I pretty much just bought these rotors, they're practically brand new! I'll let you guys know if any of my other rotors try to upgrade themselves or if they crack.
