HMT Fluid or GM syncro mesh
HMT Fluid or GM syncro mesh
I got to go pick up some fluid for the car tomorrow morning and drop it off at the shop before they install the clutch. What should I go wit? Honda Manual tranny fluid or GM Syncromesh. Im pretty sure this will be the first time the fluid was ever change on the car at 92k. I bought the car last year at 56-59k but had a job an hour from home that put a lot of miles on it. I am also going to start the mobile 1 synthetic on it tomorrow.
GM stuff without a doubt, don't even bother with the old or new Honda fluid.
Friend had the GM stuff felt great, then when his tranny went out he had the Honda fluid in there not knowing it and thought it felt weird until he finally put in the friction modfied synchromesh stuff in it and now its extra slick and the synchros are doing a great job.

Just put in the new GM stuff with the friction modifier and so far it feels the best. It seems to grab gears better and oddly enough as my friend pointed out it does seem a little quieter and a little quicker.
