HKS Superdraggers installed...Still pretty quiet.
Well, I installed these HKS Superdraggers this morning, and they are pretty damn quiet.
I wasnt looking for anything super loud, but damn, these things have nearly the same volume as stock. I was expecting more. They have a good exhaust note to them, but it still sounds the same as the stock mufflers.
Which makes me think, If i did headers/B-pipe with my stock mufflers would the exhaust be louder that just doing an axleback?

I am pretty sure if you had a full exhaust it would have a deeper tone then the axlebacks.
From what I understand...the tone changes also with time.
EDIT...fuzzy mentioned it first.

of course it would. in terms of hp probly not much but the sound will be deeper depending on diameter. get headers and i guess that pipe and your ride should sound mean but clean.
I just put on Magnaflow 14832's yesterday. The exhaust note did change. I left all the stock piping and the stock resonator....it sounds great. Not loud, but a low deep growl that is noticable. What you need my friend is a pair of headers. IT WILL CHANGE YOUR EXHAUST TONE. I was going to go with 2.25 or 2.5 cat back piping and a 18" magnaflow resonator, but I'm glad I didn't spend the extra money

Should have gotten the headers first then the cans... Your exhaust tone would have changed with the headers and you would have picked up some good power from them as well. especially since the cans you pick up minimal power, almost purely aesthetics and sound... I have CT cans and headers and I love the tone I get out of them, and there not exessive and ricey. The longer I drive and after the car is warmed up my exhaust tone gets a lil louder... although I would love to get the ATLP exhaust, they sound amazing but teh dough for them is a lil much

I think I'm gonna go with headers, B pipe, and stock mufflers.
I can't really say I like the look of these 4" pipes out the back, and I think I have a buyer.

I do not want this car to be loud by any means. Just some sort of low "grumble"
If I can't get it remotely to sound how i want to, the stock mufflers are going back on.
