HKS Super Drager Exhaust Question
First off, I wanted to thank blxmjx for setting up the groupbuy and going through all the trouble of shipping each one of us our exhausts. Thanks boy!
I just got the exhausts installed yesterday and I love them. They sound real sweet, with a low bassy sound. The question I have is regarding alignment. Right now the exhausts are uneven. With the stock exhausts, my right tip sagged. Now with the HKS ones, my left tip saggs. I believe someone on this board said they adjusted the tips to sit right under the bumper. I was wondering how I can do that as well. I took a look underneath and each exhaust is supported by two rubber parts that aren't adjustable. The hooks simply hang off these rubber parts. Any advice would be appreciated.
Thanks

Don't know about bending the hooks. If they break off by accident, I'm screwed! Maybe I can add something to the rubber so that the hook can hang higher on the rubber, instead of right at the bottom of the rubber. I'll have to figure it out. Thansk for the suggestion though.

I have the exact same problem..it was the exhuast's problem i think..I dont think the exhuast fits our car 100% prefectly...anyway..it's not a really big deal since if you dont look that really carefully, you wont notice the problem

you can buy the rubber parts that connect the exhaust to the metal hook in smaller sizes in order to achieve the desired height...pace...go look around...I wouldnt bend hooks as it will compromise the structural integrity of the metal.

Oh...Behave!
I bent the hooks a little, but that didn't help enough. So, I got some 2 3/4" hose clamps and put them around the rubber - then, you can make better "fine" adjustments.
I have mine raised to a finger gap from the top - looks good!
Btw: do you think those tips look a little BIG - or is it OK looking to you?

Oh...Behave!
I've been checking it...So far, so good!
Although, the plastic does get a little "soft".
So, for those of you with the HKS's - Do you think the tips look a little BIG proportionately, or not!

Dude the tips are perfect...you are overanalyzing...the comptech exhaust, in person, looks like pea shooters, the HKS is the perfect size not too big and yet not to small. You have an awesome exhaust just smile and be happy..lol

I agree with RDW. I love this exhaust the more I hear it. Then again, it's what you prefer. In terms of sound, I like the lowness of it, especially as it hums while I'm ruising around 30mph. In terms of looks, once I get it aligned correctly, it will be perfect. I was afraid at first that it may look a lil too big, however I think it fits the car perfectly. Thanks for the advice guys. RDW, where do you think I can get the smaller rubber components? There aren't any PACE stores nearby. You think any auto shop nearby would have them? If not, I'll try the hose clamps as an alternative idea, if I can't find anything else.

I just bent the hooks on mine. Now I have the exhaust about a finger gap from the bumper also. The metal is pretty strong so you don't have to worry about breaking it (trust me).
BTW if anyone missed out on the group buy, check out the link below. They are on sale for $399.00

SFLA_Type-S Are those tips the 130MM or the 160MM? How is the sound? What would you compare it to? If yours is the 160. I'll buy the 130 for sure. Because yours is just a lil to big for me but, the comptech reminds me of TL exhaust....I like your car man it looks good.
