hittin 100k soon..

HEY GUYS, looks like i'll be staying here . Earlier this month I was trying to find a 4 door automatic for me and my mom to drive(she cant drive stick :\). But after trying and not getting a good amount for trade-in, we decided it will be better off paying the CL off rather than losing money with the trade-in. I dont mind, but I feel bad for my mom for buying this car in the first place knowing she couldnt drive manual. I really couldnt resist the performance and look of the CL. Well, you live and learn.

Anyways, im about to his 100k and I was wondering with ppl over 100k, hows your car running? My next maintenance is the 105k mark, timing belt, water pump, spark plugs.. etc. Hows your guys' tranny? Holding up strong still? I was also thinking of changing the tranny fluid, good idea or no?

I have 145K. And I have not had a problem yet. I replaced the timming belt and etc.

The 6spd trannies don't have the problems the automatics do in the CL/TL.
You could always teach your mom to drive stick. You would probably need a clutch soon after thoug.

If your still looking around, I wouldnt change it out yet. People have gone to 120k or longer and their belts looked fine when they changed it out. Its like a thousand dollar cost and it wont make your car's worth go up.

yeah but if it breaks, it makes your cars worth go down quite a bit.. I just hit 100k last weekend, going to wait to 105 to do everything.

120K now and still likes to be red lines! I had my t-belt replaced during the tensioner recall at 35k so waiting to change my belt out whenever I get time, probably in a month... Can't say I have had any major problems with it (knock on wood too!!) My dad's TL-S has 210k+ on it and still runs like new. Just take care of it and it will take care of you.

If you haven't changed the tranny fluid you better do it quick. I used to change my every 40K. GM friction modified is much better than the Acura 6MT fluid.
