well all i got to say is god damn. I was driving at 80 on i-75. I always go on the interstate to go to school and home so I know where the cops are at and stuff. So today there was no1 behind me and there was traffic in front of me i guess abt 200 yards ahead. So im driving 80 and i figured that if i see people brake their lights then it means the cops are there. So I decided to put it in SS mode and in 3rd gear. Man i never heard the CAI going FULL BLAST and SCREAMING. I went from 80 to 120 mph and i got right behind the traffic immediately. I was like holy shit time to slow down.

But it was fun doing that and also i was not racing. I did this on my own.

 

I hit 130+ in a few cars driving that route before. Can't wait till I get the CL-S & do it in that car

 

I hist 120 about a Month ago in the CL-S. I've never gone above 105 as far as I remember. 120 was just as Quiet as 90-95. Kinda of Stupid, but I had an Open Freeway with NO one coming either way. Plenty left on the Top end before I chickened out to see what else she'd do.

 

I hit cut off 147 and the thing is in 4th with about 1500 k rpms left.. 5th is overdrive...

 

i've hit 127 once. I want to get to 147 but not before suspension upgrade and new tires.

 

Yep that's true my speedo red about 148mph, in 4th gear at 6000rpms, Here is a pic at 140 I took last weekend.

 

i like to hit the rev limiter once every month... only when im alone though.. top speed trials are only for me =x i wouldnt want to risk any other lives...

I was racing this 2001 CL-P the other day and we both hit 130+ on the 134. He chickened out after that. I was already 3-4 car lengths ahead of him.

You may want to correct yourself and say 138 mph at 5500 rpm base onthe pic. Pretty impresive anyways. How the heck did you take the pics at this speeed.

 

I understand the pic shows 139 at about 5300 rpms, I'm telling you that at 148 mph when the fuel shutoff kicks in it is at 6100 rpms, I have hit it many times. It's fun

 

If oyu floor my car in Auto no SS, or no 1-2-3 shifting it goes right to where 4th gear at top speed takes you if that makes any sense,

I.E. Say I leave it in D5 no shifting and take off, it will bounce to the next gear between 6100-6250, That's where the tach is when you are in SS-4 at top speed.

IF I use SS or 1-2-3 I can bring my RPM's up to 6800rpms
67mph in 2nd gear --> 6800rpms
105 mph in 3rd gear --> 6800rpms
148 in 4th gear--> 6100-6250 rpms
