Seems the Conv is just unsafe. I think those who are dead did not use their seat belts.. my guess.

in any roll over a conv is going to take some extra damage. But I think any car would of been toast by the looks of that accident. I've seen a few bad conv crashes and was suprised how well they held up.

i thought the conv.'s are safer in wrecks (where you dont flip) because the use a stronger support arm in the door or something...

I didn't know anyone with a V6 convertible Mustang was dumb enough to try racing someone. Or maybe he was just driving too fast for the conditions and crashed himself without actually racing anyone.

Who knows. Maybe NNH will provide a link to a news story that shows it was racing.

young guy +...

1. a decently powerful car
2. 2 girls a few years younger
3. an open road
4. alot of testosterone
5. even more inexperience

...= a fatal crash injuring a family, injuring another and killing a girl and yourself!!!!
