A friend from the TL board sent me a listing that has a article in it from the newspaper about Acura CL & TL's Headlights being stolen.

One of my headlights was spraypainted black by someone. I was so pissed. My dad, who's an auto body mechanic, got it off with gasoline though. *whew*

They are not after the lamp housing so much as the transformer/capacitor assembly that fires the xenon gas. The easy way in is thru the hole left when they pry out the lamp housing.

These lamp assemblies are useless once ripped out of the car however the bulbs ballasts inverters etc can be readily adapted to other cars.Sad to see a new trend like this starting.Jens
