HID lights
to make a long story short, i have a stock 01 CLS. the hid headlight on the driver's side is out. i took it to a private hid headlight warehouse today and paid him $20 for a check up. the result is the light bulb is fine, because it worked just fine on his car charger and ballast. it just won't work on my drivers side. i replaced at least 4 fuses and it just kept blown it out. we think there might be the electrical problem since my memory seat is not functioning neigher. should the extended warranty cover the problem? any ideas or suggestion i will be appreciate so much.
Most likely it's your headlight ballast, mine blew out about 5 fuses before I took it to the dealer and got it replaced. Bumper to bumper warranty covers the ballast but not the bulb.

I just came back from dealer. They found out it was the inverter problem. However, my extended warranty is an aftermarket warranty, and it is NOT the same as Acura warranty. So the consultant guy called the warranty company, said they don't cover it. And I called them again, they said they don't cover the inverters problem, and the coverage is very limited on HID parts. My extended warranty is from something called "USA" or whatever(i'm not with it now, but i'll double check the title), and it's the "hi-tech" option meaning it covers the most parts, but still not the inverter. And the dealer at Acura Sunnyvale (California) didn't explain it to me when I was buying it. Now the dealer at Serramonte charges me $656 for replacing the inverter. SUCKS.
Lots of people have had this problem and have replaced their inverter themselves, which costs MUCH less than what the dealer wants to charge you. Check out the black market, there are sometimes inverters for sale, or ebay.
