Some time ago (when I first got the car...) I bought the HID kit from blackmarket...(sponsored vendor) and used it for a while. When I first installed them, I used the stock OEM Ballast, and not the one they sent me. The light is working fine, but it seems to output very little amount of light.

Do I have to use the "newer" ballast that they sent me with the kit? in other words...would using the old "stock" ballast give me less light power than using the newer one?

what kind of bulbs are u using?

 

The aftermarket kit might be a higher wattage so maybe its just not powering the bulbs the way its supposed to? Our ballasts are notorious for going bad, usually easier to just replace the entire system when you can. Just my
