This is a stupid question, but here it comes. Can anyone tell me if there will be holes behind the acura emblem on the trunk if I decide to strip it? I know hondas do to hold the emblem in place, so my 03 cl will probably have it as well.

you were asking about this badge^, right bang? if that's the case, then yes there will be holes from where it was anchored to the trunk.

Thanks for the feedback guys! And yes, I ment the ^ not the A C U R A. I just put that m5 spoiler on and though it would look much better if I stripped the ^ off. But not with two holes.

 

It would likely be very faded after a few years and very noticeable even if you did do it. If you to plan to have the holes filled and repaint the whole trunk, it shouldn't be as noticeable.

 

You definately won't be able to pull off the "A" without having to fill in the holes. I would recommend leaving it on, and debadging the rest.

 

Has anyone debadged their car (the A C U R A) and seen a noticeable difference in the paint color? I'm considering debadging my '02 nighthawk black cl-s but am worried about paint fading/discoloration.

 

mine was faded a little. i used dental floss to cut them off, then adhesive remover, then used a clay bar on the area then put a few coats of wax on the area. you can still se it when you look up close in good light. but from 3 feet away it isn't noticable. mine is npb too.
i think i am going to replace the A symbol with a ferrari prancing horse symbol...lol. then even more people will ask me what kind of car it is.
