Now you know the real reason I bought my six speed (it has nothing to do with the "fun factor"").
If more people learn the secret, then there will be more orders for 6spds, deminishing the value of our collectable cars

Dealers are unreliable for new model information. I was at my dealer the other day and I asked them about the future of the CL. Basically, he admitted that most of the time, magazines know model information before they do. He said that as far as he knew the CL would not be discontinued. However, the coupe market in the 30-35K price range is very tough. We live in a world in which people want an SUV or 4doors and an automatic tranny. Most of the 350Z's I have seen around here have all been AUTO's. I cannot understand why you would buy that car and get an auto??? I hope the CL stays, it is a great value. All that is needed is a 20 hp boost for the type-s, a slightly sporty style, and offer a bodykit/wheel options/sunroof option/ and possibly audio options. My message to Acura is, "If you build it they will come."

I am still curious why 260 HP / 232 LBFT in this car is not enough?? Regardless of marketing gimmicks, doesn't the current HP allow the CL-S to compete with comparable cars in performance?? It is apparent that the CL will never be the premier sport coupe that many here wish. This is actually fine with me as it doesn't become a prominent vehicle on the street. But it does fulfill a spot in the market that others wish to obtain; performance, comfort, space and luxury at a reasonable price
But considering what it is built on and the solid chassis underneath, the J32A2 has a great potential. I expect to see some great things occurring with these vehicles, particularly the 6-Speed, in the next couple of years. In addition, with the release of the 6-Speed AV6 we might see some flow over in parts and attention. If not we will make our own...

I think Scalbert is on the right track. My CLS is certainly "peppy" enough for the average person. I love the way the power pulls the car thru traffic enabling me to zig and zag to get by the old farts here in FLA. It's human nature to want more power than what you have. I've owned many muscle cars in the past, so I can tell you that the current CLS ranks up there in power and fun quotient... especially the new 6-speed, but no cob webs on the auto either. More power coming? Sure. Is it necessary? Naw!
