Prepare to drop another $2k into it for a new tranny. That is if everything else checks out. Im not a fan of salvaged cars. The resale will suck, plus you have to trust whoever put the car back together.

make a through check of what was damaged and inspect on how it was put back together. salvage cars will probably be weaker in accidents then unwrecked cars, resell is shit so expect to keep it forever. i come from driving a salvage and there were a few surprises that i didnt account for. make a very through check. also prepare to pay 2-3k for a new tranny.

run a carfax on it. only buy it if it had no frame damage. thats what i do. but $1900, and needs a new trans, is not a bad deal. but at least 2-3k for a trans

I would seriously look at local junk yards for engine/tranny replacements. Some local ones here in Texas have trannys listed online for as low as 500-700 dollars. That is, if you don't mind doing the work yourself...

I dont think it too bad of a deal, junkyards sell the headlights fo $500 each (case/ballasts/bulbs) and I bet theres $900 more of parts on there..

The real question is what are you planning to do with it? Part it out or fix it and drive it?
