helpful tip that no one ever told me...

when you lower your ride, get rid of the mud guards... they scrape on everything! not really but they have scared me a few times recently. i checked the bottoms of the mud guards and they were scuffed pretty good.

hope this helps someone somewhere

no reason to get rid of em altogether really...

mine are also roughed up a bit too. better than having even more tar on your doors and bumper.

I'm pretty low and haven't scraped. I like em up front...saves the sides of the car from rocks.

I use mine as a feeler. If they scrape real bad, I back up and take a different route.

I like the way the mudguards look. But I do scrape 'em more often than I like.

o well it's just owners preference i suppose, i drive a lot of messed up roads and some friends live in apts. with speed walls not speed bumps. they scared the hell out of me when i thought i bottomed out on a hospital speed bump....ouch

Damn. I clean behind them everytime I wash the car. My next car that has flaps on it will get the 3M clear bra behind it (including the whole front end) to protect it.

Yeah I have a pretty solid line from where the mud flaps were...

Tried to remove it with my buffer...nada.

Gotta go back with a more abrasive compound & polish.

My new rims stick out a 1/2 inch past my mudguards so my car gets dirty now anyway.
