Help! Sunroof problem

Hello guys,

I read a couple of things on this forum on Sunroof rattling and I will get that rattling fixed as soon as possible (you guys were saying that there is a fix that the dealers know right now).
My question is, does your sunroof open all the way back or it kinda opens 2/3rds and then stops?
I am asking this to make sure that dealer would not tell me this is normal!!
Thanks,

NS

Mine opens part way as well.

My car is 2 weeks old and already the moonroof will not retract. Had to manually retract the moonroof. Will bring it in when I have time to deal with it.

It seems that all of our car's sunroof goes 2 3rds of the way back, my question now is
Why the HEck did acura not make it so that it will go all the way back?!!
I mean there is enough room on the roof to make it that way and our car is not like a compact car, it is freaking 192 inches long!!
I just can't seem to understand some of the things that they do..

I would still be waiting for somebody to tell me that theirs open all the way back and ours is faulty. It just does not make sense..

Sorry about the harsh comments on a small issue like this..

I don't think the slope of the roof allows for a track long enough. It's a bad design granted, but in order to get it to open all the way they would have had to have it tilt up and out of the opening like a Sunbird. Not exactly a Luxo-Sport design.

ill go a step farther and say one of the "improvements" for the '02 CL is thicker sunroof glass...i wonder if that'll have any affects on the design of the roof
