Help - Spots on my seats after Conditioning
For the first time I used Lexol conditioner on my Ebony leather seats. I thought I did a good job but there are some "splatters" on the seats -- oily looking spots. The spots look shiner than the rest of the seat. The seats didn't look dirty and I did not use the cleaner before the conditioner.
How do I even out the color on the seats and get rid of the spots? Can you clean over the conditioner with Lexol cleaner? Do I need to recondition? I didn't ruin anything did I?
Thank you in advance for your expert advise.

Sounds like ur using more lexol in some spots than others. When I use lexol, I spread it evenly across an aplicator and try to saturate a whole section evenly. I let the seat dry for about a minute or so and wipe off the excess.

I’d try to wipe up as much as possible but then I wouldn't worry about those spots. After driving the car and sitting in the seats for a couple days, I bet you won't even notice them. Over the course of the next few days, it will have more time to soak in and even up. Leather is pretty durable. Now, if you spilled gasoline or motor oil on the seats, I’d be more concerned but too much conditioner (that is designed for leather) shouldn’t damage it.
I'm just saying this based on experience I've had with ebony seats and Zaino leather conditioner. I applied some earlier this week and I must've put too much on because the seats were splotchy and a lot of residue was visible. I was able to wipe off some but after a few days, it's all back to normal.
Maybe somebody else here has better advice or personal experience with the Lexol conditioner. Anybody??
