Help! Scraping on speed bumps at work, what to do?

Help! This morning I went into work and I went over one of the speed bumps we have there and I thought it sounded like I hit the bottom of my car on the speed bump. I wasn't sure because the music was playing, so I waited till the afternoon and I did it again on the way out! The speed bump is not your standard yellow speed bump, its actually a portable barrier which can move up to completely blockade the entrance or exit, and when its in its "down" position, it still stick up. The bump itself is made of metal too, so its probably more damaging to my car than a normal speed bump ... Is there anything I can do? There isn't a lot of clearance to angle into the speed bump, but I'm going to try that tomorrow... if I can't do it then I guess I'll just be forced to raise the car up :-( ... good thing I at least got adjustable coilovers!

Don't worry about it...I've been dragging my cars over speed bumps harder than you'd ever imagine for the past 8 years. As long as your engine area doesn't drag I wouldn't worry about it.

yeah I'm not scraping the engine area, its after the front wheels, there's a metal piece behind the front wheels that looks like it serves virtually no purpose that now has a little bit of it shaved off

Do you think if I switch the shocks to run with it harder or softer it will help to prevent the scraping? I have the EDFC so I can change it on the fly, but I don't know if running it softer or harder would help to prevent the scraping ... I was thinking softer, because the car would be less bouncy, but my friend was saying he thought harder so the spring doesn't move as much ... but then you're running mostly on the springs, so I'd think the springs would end up making it more bouncy ... Hmph.

Just go slow over the speed bump...as in just barely crawl over it.

Yeah I'll have to try going really really slow and see how well it goes.. Unfortunately its not easy to go over at a sharp angle because the stupid thing is meant to prevent cars from going through it, so its got barriers on both sides and is wide enough for 1 car to get by comfortably, not like most speedbumps which are 2 lanes wide.
