i just installed my aem cia today

have quite a few questions


my car now idles at lower than 500 is it supposed to do that?

or does the computer just have to get used to the increased amount of airflow

the rpms also drop lower than they used to when driving when i let off the gas it supposed to do that


and my intake looked different than the one that has the full write up install on it and when i went to put the bumper back on it wouldnt go on all the way so i had to cut about an inch and 1/2 of the intake pipe so i could get the bumber back on

it is louder when it gets into vtec but when i let off the gas from high rpms in the vtec range it makes a slight squeeling noise like the timing belt is going bad or something but its not bad does anybody elses do that if so will it go away and what exactly is it?

Are you sure have the right intake? the cl and cl-p intake are different then the cl-s. I am not trying to be a smart ass, it's that i just installed my aem cai on wednesday and my fit perfect. something is not right if you had to cut a piece of the intake off.Good luck bro

 

By the way check the part number for your intake, it should be 21-419

 

unplug your battery, let the car sit for 4 hrs, then replug it in and drive like a bat out of hell. next few days the car should feel better and if it doesn't, let AEm know.
