help need opinions on Car trade in choice?
hi, everybody. i see the new look .
well i think its time to trade in my 02 cl type -s , the question is this, i am looking for a fairly used semi luxury car say 00-04 below 35k miles that makes at least 300 hp while also having potential for mods. My quest is to stay below $31000 i have thought about a used BMW- m3/m5. The new pontiac GTO , a used A6/S6 also come to mind . i also took a stab at the new mustang with 300 horses but, it just wasnt luxury and refined enuff on the inside.
what do u guys think,...............

I would definitely take a look at the Pontiac GTO. My fiance bought an 04 about three months ago, and she loves it. It is a 6-speed manual, and boy is it fast. There are definitely plenty of mods available for the LS1 V8 if you need to go even faster. The interior is by far the nicest GM interior I have ever seen. Definitely worth a look if you haven't already checked it out. Especially if you can find a leftover 2004 model, you should be able to get a great deal on one. Here's a few pics of her Yellow Jacket GTO.
She now has the stock wheels in chrome, they make the car look so much better.

i think the new GTO pontiac is rated at 400 hp, and up of 50 hp from 350 rom the prvious version i think 03.... not sure.
how about a used crossfire srt 03 maybe...... any thoughts.
The 2005 GTO has 400 hp and 395 lb/ft torque vs. the 2004 that has 350 hp and 365 lb/ft torque. From what I've heard the 05 is about half a second faster to 60 mph. But I can assure you, the 04 is plenty fast.
As far as the Crossfire is concerned, I've never been much of a Chrysler guy myself. It is a pretty cool looking car, but I'd much rather have the torque of a V8!
