HELP!!! my car is going crazy!!

i have an 01 cl-s, and i recently installed a CAI that i purchased on ebay. everything looked alright and the install went well. i got to experience my car with the intake on it for 2 days until some stuff started to happen. first of all, i was leaking coolant out of one of the hoses i put on during the CAI install. the problem was wimpy silicone hoses in the kit, replaced with nylon belted hose. second, my idle is running high, and it is erratic. while its cold, it idles at 1500, warm about 1750. sometimes, the idle will get up to 3000 and stay there. the tranny is also shifting very roughly. when i stop at a stoplight, i fell two abrupt downshifts, it seems like its shifting from 4th to 3rd then to 1st, skipping 2nd altogether. has this happened to anyone else or does anyone know whats going on?

It should not. Some dealers are dicks. The tranny issue is know and I don't thinks you will have much trouble with the intake.

they are all connected properly i believe. i have only checked the hoses that i touched during the install though. its odd because the car was running fine for a couple of days with the new intake. if it was a vacuum problem, would the "service engine" light come on?
