help me decise on an emblem...(link to pics)

i now have my 35 from a G35 a CL from gen I cl (it's larger but same font type) and a JDM type R emblem...note the "type" in the type R is hudge i could easily cut that off and attach the o.e type from the S emblem...i was thinking it could just say 3.5 typeR with the type R as you see it ...ideas welcome...i know some of you might wanna call this rice...but i go by the nick type R and lets face it my car is no longer an "S" and i do have the shit to back it up so oppinions welcome try to keep it positive

all of it looks mega cheesy

maybe just CL35 or something. that typeR badge is HIDEOUS tho. scratch that idea unless you find a nicer one... and even if you do... dont put all 3 badges together. they dont match at all.

Just change the 3.2 to 3.5. Leave the rest how it is.

IMHO

A: leave it totally debadged except for the A symbol
B: put it ALL on "G35CLTypeR".
C: just put on "CL"

The rest is cheesy.

I said it before, but all of the mixed and matched badges will come off looking unclean and :ghey:

Ya i agree...i think it would look terrible...you should just leave on the symbol and acura....then liek someone else said, maby some vanaty plates with like 3.5 type r or something like that...but the mixing and matching i think would not look good. Just my opinion though.

Why not have G35 CL TypeR TypeS RSX-S SiR SS AMG ///M

Personally, I don't think all those dif badges go together at all. I would just debadge it or leave it the way it is.

3.5L badging should come from the 3.5RL. an enthusiast could easily point out the different "fonts." the acura version will match the cl more than the infiniti letters. and i'm gonna say no on the type-r badge. i'm not for any car that slaps on an "R" badge, even if it has 500-fwhp. your car isn't a 3.2cl-s anymore, but it is definitely not a type-R.

btw i would debadge it all. talk about a sleeper.

I'm just gonna repeat what everyone else is saying!
leave it totally debadged, except for the "A"
or, if you want it badly enough, go with your original idea.
Custom billet aluminum expensive, but trick!

I agree with SpeedyRonin, why not use the 3.5 from the RL? Add the CL with a little cosmetic touchup and you would be straight. At least the font is the same.

i appreciate the input...belive me if it didnt look O.E. i wouldnt do it..what ever i do requires some trim like i mentioned before i would loose the hudge "type" in the typeR and use the one with the S....cl35 hmmmm...not a bad idea not the 3.5 cl no S no R ????someone seend me in the right direction for inquiring about having it done in billet that would be sweet....the thing about the debadge around here no one knows what the car is anyway so 35, 32, s, r, wouldnt make much difference to the GT owner that has no clue no offense PULL

so wait a minute, is there really NO Acura, past or present, that has the number "5" badge on any car in a similar font to what we have on our CL-S??? i mean, that infinity badge 3.5 is WAYY too big, it just looks silly, its not even close to the right size....there must be another badge that would fit better

First off, I'd use a "3.5" from the RL. It's a different font than on the CL but its a lot closer than the G35 numbers. I would also use the original "type".

I would either do:

3.5CLtypeS

or

3.5CLtypeR

Basically, make it as close to what it came with as possible, but with the 3.5 instead of the 3.2.

Personally I would use the S instead of the R, but if you are really into the R then just keep it low key.

I agree with those who recommended taking it from another Acura... this is probably the most OEM you'd get.

I'd take the 3.5 from either the RL or the MDX (if the MDX has the 3.5 badge somewhere).....

thanks for all the suggestions...im still unsure how to proceed ...if anyone could send me in the direction of a billet made one i would concider that...the 3.5 from the RL is also larger than the CL 3.2 and its plain block letters not even close to the font type...i tried evey ave i could think of if any of you wanna take up the challange ..please...i even persued the sabre and inspire as they still have a 2.5 version but they donot denote displacement....

the 3.5 from the rl might be a different font, but i would not put on badging from an infiniti or whatnot. i wouldn't call it rice, cause that doesn't define it. i don't know what to call it, since you do have a 3.5

i simply wouldn't want my car to have the same emblems as the type-R or G35 next to me. it's kinda like the prelude type-s or 318 m3 i saw the other day.

simple solution...shave that ass for maximum sleeper effect

Ok I don't know if this will work but I am surprised that no one has thought of this....why not get a 3.2 TL and 2.5 TL badge...that way you can use the 3 and the 5 and make a 3.5 badge to add to ur car...it is made by acura so it'd look better than the infiniti badge and the font looks the same....if this works out....make it say 3.5CL...either that or debadge the whole thing man...hope this helps...
