HELP!! Loose, Rocking, Problematic Driver Seat

Hi, I'm an owner of a 2001 CL type-S with 35k and recently, I developed some play in the driver seat (about 1/8 inch... just enough to bother me). I brought my car to Hopkins Acura in Redwood City, CA and Jim Russell, the service manager, informs me that this is normal.

Has anyone experienced this problem?

Read on for more background details...
There is more story here: I have brought in my car 5 times within the past 1.5 years, complaining about seat noise and other problems.

The first time occured 6 months after I purchased.... it developed a creaking sound on the right rear corner near the seat belt latch area.

The dealership couldn't identify the problem at first and I had to bring it back in two more times. On my third time, they replaced the seat motor and rails. I picked up my car and to my surprise, the seat was completely screwed up!

Moving the seat back and forth caused a loud grinding sound and heavy vibration. It was also loose and one of the bolts was not tighten. It felt like one of those massage chairs at Brookstone. I immediately brought it back in (4th time) and all Jim could say was "That isn't right?!" No shit Sherlock.

When I finally got it back the next day, I began to notice the seat rocking back and forth.

I brought my car back to Jim (5th time) and he claims that this is normal. I can't believe it!!

Any ideas is appreciated and helpful.

Thanks in advance

There are plastic bushings in the seat mounts that compress and wear pre-maturely.. I had mine replaced twice aleady.... pm me if you need any more details.... Same exact symptoms... if you sit back in the seat, put your feet down and push back the seat rocks between 1/4 and 1/2 inch... or on hard sudden acceleration it rocks...

That sounds exactly like to problem I'm coming across!! So, did you have to pay for it or was it covered under warranty?

My dealership is lame and I don't recommend them (for those out there wondering).

Would you happen to know the name of this part?

Thanks again!!
