Ok, I have an 03 Cl-S Auto and I thought that a gas light was supposed to come on when you have 3 gallons left. Well on the gas panel, the arrow is on one tick before the Red empty. No light has gone on. I dont wanna drive it to the gas station, and then have no gas left. Is there something wrong, if so do I bring it to the dealer?

check ur U2 sensor ...

 

where is this "U2" sensor located.... if its one tick away from empty can i make it to a gas station 4 miles away?

 

The light usually turns on somewhere near the last tick before E for me. I've gone 40 miles after the light goes on with no problems.

If you happen to run out of gas, don't tell anyone around here.

 

I would suggest putting a gas can (with about 1-2 gal. of gas in it) and ride your car to empty. Then you'll know what you have left in the tank at "Empty". I can do 40-50 local, and 50-60 highway, after empty. YMMV

 

It should be some 3 Gal after the Red light.. It happen 2 ticks before empty line... once I drove some 40 miles... (but, nerve racking experience)....

So, I guess you should have enough time to find a good GAZ station..
