HELP GUYS!!!! I may be gettting screwed!!!

Ok here is the situation. A while back I got H&R'd on my front fender / bumper. I get an estimate and the guy calls me today, so I'm thinking it's done. The guy tells me that the back of my headlight casing "Fell Out" and my radiator is broken ??? WTF??!?!? and I need an additional $470. Should I call shananigans on this asshole and threaten him into doing the work for said price "Or Else" or what should I do guys any help/ advice would be appreciated!!!! Uploading pics in a sec

is the car already stripped? if it's not, tell the dude to point and show to you where the apparent damages are at. but make sure the parts are still on the car. if it was off, he could tell you any BS with other parts. but what i can see, i don't see how the radiator could be damaged by that impact. and what headlight casing is he talking about? the tabs that hold the headlight to the frame could be snapped off. what was the estimate you got from the dude?

doesnt seem like that impact would break a radiator...in which case, did you see coolant on the floor/spilling water when you inspected the crash. The headlights mount to a metal bar where the front bumper is mounted to by plastic clips BUT the headlight or its tabs are in no way or form attached to the bumper. maybe the bar bent, idk take a look

well, don't make more work for yourself at this point. Be casual, becasue meingmad really isn't effective. Give them two ultimatums, either you take your car back this way or we comer to a conclusion on the price after seeing what was wrong. If he took all the parts off, you might be able to see if it was deliberate or truly part of the accident. And on top of that, tell him you had no radiator issues when the accident occured or a few days after, so why would the problem surface now. But the ultimatum will give him a better way of solving the problem without getting legal on his ass. Good luck!

you odn't have insurance?

i'm guessing that you don't have insurance and that's why you're footing the bill? because if you go through your insurance, they'll usally take care of everything, all you have to do is sign and drive and a few weeks later, you go back and pick up your car, good as new, or close to it. but if you're not using your insurance then I suggest that you have the body shop show you where the damages are. i've been in a few fender bender myself and my insurance USAA took care of everything, they paid for everything and billed the other guy who hit my car. is you're in the military, you should look into getting USAA insurance, they're the best.
