HELP...found nail in sidewall...will dealer help?

Found what appears to be a screw sticking out of my SIDEWALL!!

Of coursetis happened on a sunday around 4pm so nobody was able to help me...the tire is not flat..and seems to be holding steady...but not for long.

Everyone i have talked to abut getting our "stock" tires has given me the run around..stating that they dont carry them in stock.

Will the Dealer be able to Help??
im sure they have our tires in stock right?

Any Info is appreciated...thanks in advance!!

Chris

It's going to be costly at the dealer. Why not just try to find a used one either online at ACL or ATL.com?

I paid just about $210 to get a new tire balanced and installed at the Acura dealer. I also was unable to find a single store that had the stock tire available. The stores all said it was a special order, but luckily a nearby dealer had them in stock.

Shouldn't they be able to repair the puncture in the tire rather than replacing the whole tire?

Yeah repairing anything other than a sidewall puncture is fine.....but I heard that when you try to repair a sidewall puncture it just doesn't work! So basically your tire will most likely blow out on you which is never good.

My dealer doesn't even carry my stock tires!! They said that they get them from a dealer too, so I would have to contact them. I finally found a place that could get me my tire in 2 days......so I guess I was in the same boat as you..

Wow, that's expensive. I just put on Mich Pilot Sport A/S in 225/50 on the stock rims. They were 209.99 each installed/balanced/road-hazared at a local Costco.

Just go for 4 better tires, and either save your other 3 as spares or sell them.

That's about 2 kumho or sumitomo tires + shipping.
