Hey Guys, I need a little help so that I can get to work today. Here's my little story, hopefully one of you can shine your knowledge upon me...

So the Acura CL came with the factory keyless entry alarm. A couple of months ago I had the Viper 560xv with the remote start installed on my car. The shop that installed my car alarm never deactivated the factory alarm but it didnt really matter because I was able to enter and start the car with the viper alarm and the factory alarm never acted up.

Fast forward a couple of months to last night- my girlfriends '02 RSX was park infront of my CL. I went to put something in her car and locked her car with her keyless entry. I then used the viper alarm to open my car and my alarm started going crazy. Nothing I could do would stop the car from beeping its horn. I believe the factory alarm is the one thats going crazy because I was able to lock, unlock, remote start the car, shut off the remote start, put the key in the ignition and actually drive the car all while the alarm was going off.

I don't have the factory remote on me so what can I do? Do you guys agree it's probably the factory alarm? The entire process lasts around 2-3 minutes as soon as I unlock the doors.

Yep, your going to need to do what I suggested, or another poster in that thread suggested. Look down a few, it's a remote start thread.

Yeah I called the installer and he said he knew what was going on. You have to hook up the arm/disarm wire that's in the driver's door so that the factory alarm would be disarmed on remote start.

Don't all of the ACURA factory systems disarm the alarm if you unlock the door using the key? Could be a temporary fix if you cant get your wiring/remote re-done soon...
