help.. with dash light..
sup guys... I have been kinda cleaning up the recently purchased 01 type s which I love so far... but ran into few problems so any info would be super appreciated..
dash clock light was out when I got the car few months back so I decided to replace the bulb today.. got the bulb from the dealer for $2.95 and replaced it carefully which only took about 15 minutes..thanx to diy write ups to acurazine members..oh.. I didn't not unplug the harness..
the problem is that now my instrument lights are out now.. except for the button for air circulation which is orange light. knobs for temp, auto, off, and defroster... all dark..
I tried bang on the dash around it.. checked the fuses.. and took the dash off again to check on harness plugs but no luck so far... anyone has same problem?

I did use the stock bulb from acura..
I double checked for harness and lose wires.. all good..
I have more problems now.. I was checking the fuses..and my SRS light came back on(which I reseted a week ago) and check engine light came on this evening.. sucks...
now I am scrambling around to get radio codes to reset check engine light.. TT.TT

checking fuses??? if u take them out with the battery in u could mad the SRS light come on... as for engine light, get that checked out asap.
and with regards to ur light not working... if only the light doesn't work I've have to put my money on a faulty light or the contacts for power aren't meeting so it won't light up.
Use a volt meter and see if the outlet is getting power, then u'll know if it's the bulb

You can take the car in for the SRS light. Acura has a lifetime replacement warranty on that since its part of the restraint system. Might as well have the check engine light looked at while its in. Shouldn't charge you for that.

if you pulled fuses out to check them, you probably set off these lights. Just reset the CEL manually by resetting the ECU or clearing it with a code reader. you can reset the SRS light by yourself too, no biggie, you didnt harm anything.
and with the clock and AC still functioning, its not a problem with the fuses or the harness. I guess you blew out the other bulbs or something.
