i think you're decision well come down to pricing...the Maya's are much more expensive than the Axis. You should take that into consideration.

The price difference between the two wheels are big. I would go with the STU's. I believe the Maya wheels are made by Trafficstar in Japan. You should send msg to XkraziX as he had a friend who was trying to sell a set of 19X8 STU's. Also, price out a set of the Trafficstar Mesh II as they maybe cheaper than the Maya. Post pics on whatever you decide on!! Good luck.

rubbing will depend on offset and drop

If you're talking about 215/50/17, then that 50 is the number for the sidewall of the tire, or profile. The 50 means it's 50% of the tread width, so 215 x .5 = 107.5mm sidewall.

You are correct .

To be technically correct it is called the "Section Width" and is measured in millimeters. Section Width is the distance between the sidewalls. Oh yeah, it depends somewhat on the width of the rim the tire is installed on.

on 19x8, yeah 235 would work, you could go wider if you wanted too. To stay closest to stock diameter, you'd want 235/35/19s. That should be almost exactly the same.

Tough choice, but I think I'd go with the Mayas.

Exactly, 235/35/19 would keep you close to stock. 245/35/19 may work, depending on the wheels' offset, but I don't think anyone on here has gone with that size yet so you'd be the guinea pig.
