Hello CL Community!

Just wanted to intro myself to this group. I just bought a 01 CLS automatic with only 18K mile on it. Seemed like a good deal after having a 90 Integra and 92 Legend. Both of which are still kicking with well over 169K on the Integra and 195K on the Legend. But after reading some of the horror stories about the auto CL's I'm a little concerned. Maybe the tranny fell out of the one i bought and that's why there are hardely any miles on it!!!

I'm taking her in for a once over with the local dealer and also to see why the passenger seat won't move forward and why the interior lights don't come on. Looks to be a ton of great info here and let me just say Thanks in advance!!!

welcome to the board. If you are worrying about the tran, it has a 100k warranty on it.

welcome

Also, very few people really have problems with the 5AT from a statistical basis....I have an 01CL w/ 150K miles and the first tranny still

Have fun, and keep the $$ in your pocket on Mods...if you start, you can't stop

Welcome to ACL.com. Don't worry.... You actually have better chances that you have a good tranny. I'm on my 2nd CL (the first was a CLp) and I have had no problems whatsoever.

Electrical problems?

Did you get a carfax? Might have come from Florida after the hurricanes.

Acid Rain

Just picked up a CL01 black from a lease in Cornelius- car was kept outside, hood and trunk were eaten up by acid rain. Keep it waxed in your area.

My wifes legend is a 95 with 113K. My primary is an RX300.

I ran the car fax and it looked clean, but it was from NY. They don't report half the stuff that goes on up there anyway! I sprayed down everything in that car to got any residual salt off, but water can only do so much. I'm waxing her as soon as i get home from the holidays for sure. thanks everyone.
