HELL YEAH!!!!!!!!New track times!!!!

I just got back from Long Island motorsports raceway. I got a total of like 15 runs which was good. I started out w/ a couple of 14.8's and 14.7's...which is way better than I started 3 weeks ago. This is only my second time at a track ever. After a couple of runs I started getting 14.6's which is what I did a best of last time. Then I got a 14.5 and a couple more of 14.6's. No big deal yet. then I let the car cool off for like 40 minutes or so and went back out. My last 5 runs got better and better each run. I finally got my launch down perfect. Here are my last 5 runs in decending order.
1. 60 ft - 2.194
1/4 - 14.442
ET - 97.22

2. 60 ft - 2.182
1/4 - 14.389
ET - 97.65

3. 60 ft - 2.193
1/4 - 14.395
ET - 97.84

4. 60 ft - 2.198
1/4 - 14.375
ET - 98.01

5. 60 ft - 2.137
1/4 - 14.279
ET - 98.01
HELL YEAH!!!!!!!!!
I got the last run of the day so it believes me to think I could have done better even considering my times were getting better w/ each run. My launch was at 1800 rpm...no spinning...no bogging. Tires----Cooper Lifeliner Touring SLE 215/50/17. Treadware on this tire is 360...the stock michelin is 300 so my $90 tires have a harded rubber compound than stock. I am incredibly proud of myself right now.

Ohh...by the way. I beat an old style 911 Targa. I lost to a SRT-4 by only one car...he didn't know how to drive but I don't care.

that quick 60' allowed you to run in the 14.20's. most eveyone that has run that quick has been trapping over 99mph.

again, awesome.

1st to 2nd I shifted at 6900rpm...then from 2nd to 3rd I shifted at 7100rpm. On my launch what I would do was hold at 1800rpm...when the light turned green just let off the brake...NO GAS...THEN ONCE THE SLIGHT CHIRP HAPPENS....then floor it. Also the last time I went I put some 101 octane fuel additive in. I actually think that hurt me. Temps of the track today was 45 degrees w/ 20% humidity...pretty close to perfect!

yeah it sux that this is the last year for the hamptons track...they're closing for good in like 3-5 weeks for good! I guess after that it'll be nothing but e-town and attco in Jersey. As far as the track being preped properly...not really. I was spining like crazy until I learned to launch properly. I even had one run today where I literally spun thru second and got a 15.6. Again thanks for the comments guys
