Heavy Rain+CAI

This was my first experience driving in any heavy rain with the CAI. I have no bypass valve so I have a few questions. Today it was raining pretty heavy and there was a lot of little puddles on the road like any time when there is heavy rain. Realistically what do you really have to do to screw the engine in the rain. And dont say just a big puddle, like how big.

The water needs to completely submerge the air filter. Get under the car and see for yourself how high, but I'm guessing it's gotta be over a foot of water if not more.

Keep in mind the water may not be that deep, but the wakes that other cars make in front of you, as well as your car could cause it to rise to that level.

You have to drive through some pretty serious water to bring the water into the motor.

The one nice thing about how the CAI sits the CL is it's protected very well by the under-carriage splash guard. It's pretty difficult to even get the filter wet.

Fuck the bypass valve. To fuck the engine without one you need to drive thru water thats up to the front bumper, because the filter is directly underneath. It doesn't hang down at all obviously.

You'd have to be a fucking idiot to drive thru water that deep with or without an intake. No worries.

I've been driving in the exact same climate as u, we don't live that far apart. 3 months after I bought the car I installed a CAI, but never did I install the By-Pass. I never go through watter more than 4 inches. If I have to I lets someone go before me and I follow in his wake. Bro u have nothing ot worry about. If u come to a large puddle, let someone else go before u so that u can judge teh depth, then follow in the person's wake.

So what did u think about the tornado that touched down by ur area, pretty freaky $hit huh?
