Headlights & Laser Alerts

I'm leaving work and I round a corner making a right and infront of me is stopped traffic one of the cars was a BMW w/ HIDs (not facing me directly). My V1 flares up w/ a laser warning AND my jammer starts going off as well. Now these things tend to false once in awhile. Like neon signs and those brake lamps used by GM but usually they don't false together like that. The only time they work together is when it's a real alert.

Has anyone ever gotten a false laser alert from headlights?

Sure it was headlights??? I can't see why a Xenon headlamp would set the V1 off. It's got to be a nearby Enboy or Trailblazer...

It’s not the headlights, it’s the NEON lights BMW is using for its corner markers.
Apparently it’s the same light spectrum as the Trailblazer brake light so it sets off a LASER warning.

And YES, I have noticed this more often lately.

Now that makes sense. I didn't know neon was in the corner markers. Nice.

It's not the light spectrum...

If you have a HID, LED, or neon or other lamp that can "modulated" (it can change its light output quickly), it can be picked-up by the V1 as a laser source.

If gotten the V1 to go off near LED taillights, and if an HID is noisy enough, it will kick-off the V1...

Your eyes can't see the pulsing due to persistence of vision, but the V1 can...

I got that same Laser alert from a BMWs headlamps....only once. It is startling and I hope it doesn't become prevalent like the Trailblazer/Envoy fiaso.

I call it a fiaso because it's annoying and embarassing and it goes on and off when the [bad] driver pumps the brakes and in traffic, you almost have to change lanes and get some distance between you and the source. This needs to be fixed. Neon lights aren't so bad.....
