I may be wrong, but I seem to remember reading something about the 100W 9006's doing some funky shit to factory harnesses, melting them, burning them out, etc... You've probably done more reading on this than I have, but just in case you haven't heard that, might want to do a little checking up on that before lighting those mothers up.

Yeah, I read that also about burning the harness but i also read from other people that it doesnt do so if installed correctly. Anyone know if this is true?

I am interested to hear about this.......for roughly $30 bucks it is worth a shot, unless you end up melting your shit

Curious, how would one go about installing these wrong?

100w bulbs burn VERY hot and can melt your harness and/or your housing, not to mention the light output isn't much better than standard halogen lights. My advice: step up and drop HIDs in. You'll be more satisfied in the end

is this for a 2nd gen?

if you do, isn't the high beam a 9005? and isn't your low beam HID's? or am i just confused
100W for the high beam might be alright, just cause you are probably not likely gonna be using it for as long as you would your low beams.

*edit*
p.s. - i've had nokyas before. i don't think they were the 100W ones, but i was happy with them. They were in my brother's 4runner, and were H4's. They lasted about 2 years for me, and i recently bought another set to replace them.
