HeadLight Leak

Hey all

So my driver headlight on my CL has been full on condensation for the passed month or so. I searched it,, and found some info on the gasket thing by the ballast. Im not convinced that this is the problem

The other other day when i was leaving work, i looked at my car, and the headlight had completely dried out. but now its full again. it hasnt rained, and i havent washed my car the past week or so.

Its kinda strange, any suggestions?

I used to get condensation in my one headlight too. You can take the bulb out (not the HID) and spray some air in there or leave it open to help vent the moisture out. What really did it for me was that i stopped going to car washes. I think that high pressure forced some moisture in there.

I'm going to try and take it back to the body shop and see if they'll fix it under warranty, from the accident i was in..

morning fog/dew is make condensation appear in the headlight. take the headlight out and look of any cracks/ missing gaskets/o rings.

my brother has a 02 tl and has this with his passenger side fog lamp. he bought the lens material in home depot and is redoing it with a new sealant but i would imagine a headlight would be more complicated.

It can be a little tricky. But its not very difficult. Just have to take your time when you re-seal it so you don't have he same problem down the road.

If its not alot of condensation, you can take one of those silica packets that you get with new sneakers and stick it in there and seal the light up for 24 hours. That will absorb the moisture.

so nobody has the lead on those "O" rings to help seal the back? I am planning on clearing soon and don't want the condensation to happen. Maybe JnC knows?

I am assuming you are referring to part #11 off that diagram.

I was experiencing similar issues after i did some retrofits on my accord. Ended up getting some clear window sealant from Home Depot and went around the edges where the lens and headlight meet. That seem to eliminate my condensation issue.
