Headlight Help

I just took delivery on my 6 Speed Cl last week. When I picked it up it had just been washed and there was some condensation in the headlights. They offered to fix it then, but I said Id wait a while...They tend to dry up on their own until I wash the car....So the dum question is...Get them replaced??? I just hate the fact that they have to pull off the bumper to do the job...

Otherwise, I love this car!!!!

If the light sets have condensation in them, then they have to be replaced under warranty.

have them replace it under warranty then take them apart and clear them out like this

then they will leak again but it will be worth it

I also took delivery of my CL 6 speed only 30 days ago and found fogging within each headlight shortly thereafter. I did not want them to remove the front bumper as well so I told the dealer about the problem so they could note it in my file. I am waiting to see if the problem continues, so far it hasn't. If it does continue, I will have to have them replaced. I know exactly why you're hesitant.

The fear is regarding the potential paint damage that may result from careless Acura personnel removing and replacing the bumper. In addition, current headlight aim is perfect, I know that would be in jeapordy after a replacement.

If the problem re-occurs, I will definitely have them replaced.

If you know they will get replaced do it now cause Acura is a piece of sheet and even if you get one scratch on the headlights they will claim that the scratch is what broke the seal and caused the condensation. What you should do is get it in writing that they are aware of the condensation and that they need to replace them under warranty....then keep em on for about 2 yrs and then get them replaced that way you are pretty much quaranteed new lights in 2 yrs.
