headlight fogging up
WTF I went top the car wash today and the passenger head light was covered with frost inside. I didn't even have the lights on or anything. I turned the lights on and it took most of the fog out. Anyone else have this happen to them?

They consider the fog to be normal due to the fact tha the heat generated from the engine bay will cause water condensation inside the light housing due to various holes that the casing has from the manufacture. I went to the dealer and they told me that it was normal for condensation to form, but if i had water accumulation then the top seal wuld be bad and they would need to replace the light housing. Short story I never got them changed on my car, but is logged on the history of complaints at the dealer/record..

This isn't out of the ordinary. Moomaster had stock headlights that fogged up on him. If anyone has worked on clearing headlights, u'll realize that the silicone used is good and bad. The good is that the silicome is more of a gum rather than a solid latex. The bad is it's heat threshold just plain sucks and can melt and breakdown very quickly.

I had that happen on a Cadillac I had years ago. I brought it to the dealer and they drilled a small hole to vent the condensation. But that was in a tail light.
