Headlight cleaning

So my headlights SUCK. Like they are really foggy, and I have no idea what's good for making them look amazing until I can afford to get some new ones (probably 03 units). What's the best way to go about doing this?

I used this and there is two of them one with sealant and one without. One with sealant is much better and few bucks more expensive

I have found those kits to generally be ok for a short time & then it comes back. I recommend replacement. I tried these kits on my CL, a 02 mustang, a 98 corolla, & 93 explorer. None of them lasted more then 6 months in the FL sun. I even paid a pro shop that does headlight restoration on the mustang once & that was a waste too.

I agree but still $15 every 6 months is not bad at all than buying new housing which
Is $250+

AZine is acting up making double posts.

A new housing will eventually get dirty too, so restoring it is probably the best bet.

Wet sand and polish them. Make sure you seal them with a quality sealant every few months. Treat them like you would the painted surface of the car.

The problem is the UV coat on them has worn off, causing them to "fog" up.

So I ended up using this Meguiar's heavy duty headlight stuff, works damn well. I highly recommend it.

So the driver's side is done and the passenger is not for a nice comparison

Close up of driver side.

Close up of passenger side.

Yeah I'm really happy with it. Plus I drove across Missouri in the rain and I just wiped it with my chamois and it was still perfectly clear.
