is headlight auto-off determined by ecu?

just bought some hella micro de's.

installing them soon, and i'm looking for somewhere to wire the relay/switch so that either:

a) the fogs, if left on, will turn off after ~15 sec (aka the auto off if you leave the headlights on), but not wired with the headlights (so i can use the fogs regardless if the headlights are on or not)
b) fogs will come on with the key in accessory or on (tapping into the accessory on the fuse box), but never when the car is off (so i can leave the switch on all the time)

b is entirely possible, but i'd prefer option a. hella's instructions only show how to wire with the headlights, but i want the option of having them run all the time (like a DRL or if conditions are bad enough, only having the fogs on)

Im 99% positive its a result of the multi plex
This is the back side of the drivers side fuse panel
Leave your lights on and test the one circled in red. Turn your lights on and with a volt meter test to see if the power stays on for the 15 sec or so (this spot is triggered with the light switch, parking or lights)

That or one of the other ones that is switched (power with key on no power with key off) use one of those for the relay trigger
