Hi All, I am a newbie to this forum so please bear with whatever protocols I have already screwed up on. I recently pulled a 2001 Acura CL 2 Dr Type S headlight assembly from an Auto Wrecking yard hoping it would fit my 2003 Acura CL. It looks identical. However when checking Ebay sales, the compatibility tool indicates it is not compatible. Does anyone know if that is correct? Can I swap a 2001 Acura headlight to put on a 2003 CL?

 

While I can't tell you if the parts are compatible, I can tell you that the eBay parts indicator has been wrong before with my car. I'll look at a part and it says it's not compatible even though I know 110% it is.

 

Thanks Ross! Yes, that's how I feel about this. The Acura dealership says they look identical but there is a small difference in the part #'s probably because one part comes with the bracket and the other doesn't, anyway, thanks for your informative answer and I will definitely keep your answer in mind.

 

Have you already bought the part? Why not just install it and see if it works?

 

01-03 assemblies are the same

 

only difference is the 01-02 have chrome housing and 03 is black
