HEADERS mpg?
ok!! I've been against headers because of high cost,, now that the price is low and the cost of gas is high,,, Has anyone done a mileage MPG test at a 70 mph,, Before and after headers. I know about the gains at higher rpm's,, but 99% of the time I'm at 2k rpm in 5th gear.

I haven't done a real study on it but the majority of my driving time is on the highway and I seem to get 1 or 2 more mpg with the OBX headers. It is hard to tell though since with the headers you tend to want to...PLAY more! I recently got the Icebox intake and for that tank of gas I got 24mpg and that was after playing and zipping around a lot. I look forward to a long trip where I can find out what I get with just highway driving.
I have made a lot of noise complaining about the OBX header resonance on this forum but I would have a hard time going back to stock. I am thinking of getting the Stone headers and selling the OBX cheap but I haven't quite made up my mind yet. The take home message is...get the headers, you will love them!
