Header Leak Repair Options and Costs

Well, I was just recently praising my alphawerks for lasting like 5 years or so, but noticed some noises lately, and it appears that it's coming from a header leak unfortunately. What is the best option? Go to an exhaust shop and get some guy to weld some metal back on to fill the hole? How much should that be?

I have attached some pics below.

Well it's just a hole there, don't see why a welding can't cover it and everything would be fine?

That's an easy fix. It's right there. Any welder can patch that in 5 minutes.

What should I look for? I can't get it fixed until Monday, but the hole probably has been there for a few weeks at the minimum.

The IAC valve or whatever it is thats close to the driver in the engine bay is pissing me off as it's ticking a ton, and I just replaced it like a year ago when the original one was ticking.

Should cost no more than $20 - $25. They just need to spot weld it. Simple. Hopefully they can get in there without having to remove the header.

Nah, not with a hole that small, there is still plenty of back pressure to prevent burt valves. Especially if it just started.

But I bet that is an anoying sound.
