Could someone tell me what size socket to use on the header bolts & A-pipe. The stock stuff.

Helms says they are 8mm for where the manifolds connected to the block, but for some reason that seems way small to me. The bolts at the J-Pipe are 10mm.

I know the Comptech bolts at 10mm.

 

That does seem way too small.

 

Header bolt 12mm
A pipe 14mm

 

 

Well, the helms has yet to be proven wrong.

 

Helms isn't wrong. They're listing the thread size, 10mm diameter but the head size is 14mm. 8mm=12mm head. If you were to get a nut or bolt anywhere they're measured by the thread dia x thread pitch not the wrench size.

Alphawerks supplies 10mm nuts and bolts for the A pipe but the head size is 17mm.

 

RooEng is right, it's a mis-interpretation issue here.
