Hawk Performance Ceramics

Love the brake pads. I had the Axiss Ultimates for a long while and they were great but the dust was unbearable. My rims would be black after 2 days of driving. I switched out the front pads back in March with hawk performance ceramics and loved them. Little to no dust, and I can literally drive for a week and half before I see dust on the rims. My rear wheels would look dirty after two days of driving. I just switched the rear pads out with the hawk ones and couldnt be happier. Highly recommend them, although I can not speak to how long they will last.

Thanks to all that recommended the hawks...

I got them from autoanything.com and it was 99 for the front pads and 67 for the rear pads. The install was about 80 bucks for the front and 80 for the back because I did it at different points in time. Labor would probably be cheaper if you did both together.

I think i would prefer to do the labor myself, save myself some dough.

Think they are worth the extra $$ over stock pads?

The stock pads and rotors were awful. I used them up by about 30k and replaced the rotors with rotora slotted rotors and Axiss ultimate pads all around back then. I loved the Axiss pads but hated the amount of dust, I was always cleaning the rims. I am now at about 68k miles on the car and the front pads needed changing so i tried the Hawk ceramics in the front and loved them, so I just did the rears too. I am still on the same rotora rotors so they are holding up well, I will probably replace them when the pads need to be changed again.

Anyway, I highly recommend the combination. The sooner you can get off the stock rotors and pads the better.

Good move, you will love the low dust factor. It is huge for me because I have machine lipped wheels so the black dust would just sit there, now I dont have to deal with it inbetween washes.

Enjoy and let me know what you guys think of them
