Have you noted this.................

in the engine bay. I open my hood to check oil condition and coolant level and I noted that my oil cap on the valve cover actually has the oil viscosity rating of 5w-20. What the f*** is that viscosity for? The manual states to use 5w-30 or 10w-30. Also, I live in a Laredo TX where the temps are steadily at 99 and higher for about 5 to 6 months, isn't the 5w-20 weight to thin for this kind of weather. where can you find this 5w-20weight? Or is this a mistake when printing the oil weight on the oil cap.

Any advice

Yes! I have noticed this on some newer cars but do not use that weight unless it fits the condition of your car. Are you going to using 5W-20 all the time?? 100,000 miles from now, i doubt it. The weight of the oil depends on the age and milage of the car. Any good mechinac/auto parts store could tell you what weight to use. As far as what brand to use that is up to you. A lot of people like Moble One, you could find 5W-20 @ your local auto parts store
