Hate to admit but lost to my friends MOD. GSX
Well after having lunch at poppyes I met my old friend who happens to work at sprint.
Well we had lunch together and decided to make a quick 1/4 mile run.
His car last time I checked (1999)
GSX Turbo
HKS turbo upgrade,
BIG ass intercooler,
Turbo Timer,
Exhaust,
Intake,
Header..
and now he probably got more stuff. but we didn't check each others engine bay out.
We come to a red light, his car is stick by the way. I hear him rev and hold abour 3000 to launch.
I was just sitting quietly waiting for the green.
I do the usual routine.
Move the lever to Park, press memoryseat 2 (racing position) move the leaver to d1, turn VSA off, and stare at the light.
GREEN!!
he fooken takes off first, I catch him easily and to about 100 DEAD EVEN Right next to each other as if we weren't even moving. after 105 I see him move slightly foward about 1/4 car lenght. My front hood is about at his drivers side door.
I then call it quits.
He gives me the flashers..
and I came back to work.
Lesson learned: I need a SC.

no need to be down or anything, his car is heavely moded, and he has turbo,plus his car has the light weight advantage.

Sounds like that GSX is a quick car, he even beat you with headers...those cars can break into the 12's with just bolt-ons and turbo mods...
My brother (a GOOD driver) has an ITR with i/e and Toyos, he raced the same car w/ the same mods, except he had a HEAVY (and ugly) wide bodykit, he must have weighed like 200lb+ plus he had another friend who was even bigger...he drove like crap too...my brother beat him by about a car length
Everyone at the races was surprised, the Eclipse guy was dogging on all the Hondas before that race, he shut up after he got smoked haha...at least the guy gave us a good 2-minute burnout show before the race...it all depends on the driver's launch, if those AWD cars can't get a good launch, then they have no chance...
